Quadrantanopia
Quadrantanopia is a visual field defect affecting one-quarter of the visual field, often caused by lesions in the optic radiation or occipital cortex. Clinical features include partial visual field loss corresponding to the lesion location. Etiologies include stroke, tumor, trauma, or demyelinating disease. Diagnosis is confirmed via formal visual field testing and neuroimaging. Management focuses on underlying cause and visual rehabilitation; prognosis depends on lesion type and extent.
