Post-concussion Syndrome

PCS is a constellation of symptoms persisting after mild traumatic brain injury, including headache, dizziness, cognitive deficits, and emotional disturbances. Pathophysiology involves diffuse axonal injury, neurochemical alterations, and autonomic dysregulation. Diagnosis is clinical, excluding other structural lesions with imaging. Management includes symptom-targeted therapy, cognitive rehabilitation, and psychological support; prognosis is generally favorable, with most patients improving within months.
