Encephalomyeloradiculoneuropathy

Encephalomyeloradiculoneuropathy is a rare disorder affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerve roots, and peripheral nerves, often resulting from autoimmune or infectious causes. Clinical presentation includes multifocal neurological deficits, sensory and motor impairment, and autonomic dysfunction. Diagnosis requires MRI of CNS, electrophysiologic studies, and cerebrospinal fluid analysis. Management is primarily immunomodulatory, including corticosteroids, IVIG, or plasma exchange. Prognosis varies widely, depending on etiology, extent of CNS and peripheral involvement, and response to therapy.
